Tohoku refers to the northern region of Japan’s main, Honshu island.
This 2:45 minute, showcase video features VARIVAS’s new ‘Rock_On’ Rockfishing line and hooks AND the Tohoku region of Japan that was heavily damaged by the massive, March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. This region is famous for Rockfish, which is a regional delicacy. Local fishermen, interviewed in the video, talk about rebuilding after the earthquake and tsunami, resilience, Rockfishing as a way of life, and their desire to stay and rebuild the place where they live, work, and call home.
